Good bye London!

Good bye London, again. Memorable moments, lots of fun, the happiness of seeing Poziomka, crazy arguments with flatmates and a bit of my old life in london.
and i need to get used to being on my own again.

on one of the last days i visited Horniman Museum and Gardens in Forrest Hill. i'm not in the mood of putting many comments, let the pics speak instead of me. - i love this little building and that gardens are so neat even in January

the main aim of my visit was to see the aquarium in Horniman Museum. i didn't have to be disappointed. jellyfishes: i was trying to capture this little fish for so long. and i'm not perferctly satisfied with the result. but i find funny this mini swordfishJust like my stay came to an end, another day was over in Covent Garden. packing...

Views on London

one day i gave company to Gosia on her way to work.i thought i would walk around in that area. well, i did. Covent Garden, Holborn, Aldwich, Bank, Barbican. i didn't really know the west end that well, so it was quite new for me. while checking the pics i took i realized how many different faces of london u can see in only one afternoon.
this is the Royal Courts of Justice. definitely more impressive than the buildings of County Courts of Vas. :) (my county...)
St Paul's from a different perspective:it can only be brittons who turn the Old Bank of England into a pub. craaaazzzy

today's london: work work work work work work work work work work work
...and news. quality don't matte' (exceptions strenghten the rules)hard life. busking at winter time and to frame this post, one more pic of The Royal Courts of Justice

Aero

i made a decision yesterday:
when i grow up, i wanna be an aviator.
fly high.
my flight was superb yesterday, i wonder if only because i knew i was gonna see Poziomka. btw, i'm so happy to be here, everything is great. even if she's got to work and go to the uni, at least i'm here. and why i enjoyed the flight? just have a look:
still on the runway in Graz, Austria: take off: the runway and Flughafen Graz, dizzyyyyy: and that's why i like traveling from Graz: the Alps. beautiful: a mate: i love this: skiparadise. or skyparadise? :)here we joined the path of another plane that left its vapour trail behind. it was more interesting in real life, in this pic i like the transition of colours from very dark blue to bright blue: milky way:another transition: from the very bright, sunny wheather to the good old English reality:as i had promised Gosia, i brought sunny days, and indeed, the wheater turned nice, the sun is shining today and i'm feeling very well. greetings to everybody in hungary and everywhere in the world!

stepping out from the shade

it is true:
u need to stay in the shade for a while in order to appreciate the sunbeams.

because of my illness i couldn't really eat much - or at least i had to be very careful with what i ate. right during christmas time. what a pity isn't it? today i started eating as i usually do. good old mákosbejgli and diósbejgli (home made. mum made!!!). yummie. so i'm enjoying it. small pleasures... :) well, after a big sux...

just to tell you (i already wanted anyway), i experienced this feeling i few times already. these two happened on the same day: after having showers in london for a long time, on the first day of my big tour in august i had a shower in Cleobury Mortimer in the middle of the nowhere:) it was such a big pleasure. u need to know that london struggles with water shortage and that's why in most households waterpressure is quite low. after a while u can get used to it. but then if u can have a shower with normal pressure it's like a massage. micro-orgasm. :)
and the other thing happened on the same day. similar story. in london u can hardly see any stars. not only because of the obvious reason: clouds. there are so much public light that they oppress the light of the stars. on that night in the Pioneer Centre i couldn't stop staring at the sky, the stars' sparkling was astonishing.

Janus

Budapest has two faces like Janus the mythical god.
these two pics were taken within 10 meters. i personally have no problems with graffities - though i hate tags - and i'm not scared of dark places. but the two pictures below somehow don't come together...

Fővám tér, subway and my university Dec 2006

to be fair, any other capitals i know could be labelled like budapest in this respect. e.g. in london i wouldn't want to cross hyde park at night on my own... (not to mention some hard core districts)

back to the world of memories

am in hungary now, again.
it was great in london. i feel absolutely refilled emotionally. even though i feel quite crap again, it's not as bad as that time when my Poziomka left to london. however, i find it very difficult to revise - which i have to coz on friday i've got a serious test - my mind is everywhere else but on accounting. grrr.
here r some pics from london:
this was taken in Greenwich Park where we went to for a stroll. there's this huge rose garden that i always wanted to show you (especially to my Dad). appr. 100 different types of roses.
still there, autumn lights:
we also visited our 'secret' chess place, a coffee shop in a book shop. we spent some nice time there. and Poziomka won. of course. :)
we met my cousin, Peter. here he's saying hello to his mum: 'HELLO'
(st paul's and the millenium bridge in the background)

we had a beer in one of the oldest pubs in london called the anchor. nice one, but really expensive, located on the riverside near london bridge. we had some russian beer there. Baltika.
me&my. the two scots.

thx for the pics to Gosia Kozlowska (copyright)

still memories. london

still memories, still hurting, still hard.

i'm asking myself the question all the time why life is so cruel.
my mind knows what i am doing but my body, my soul and my heart wants to go back. i hope this torture will pay off. i'm still feeling crap when i'm on my own, and to hear the same from Poziomka makes me even sadder. 10 days to see her.

and my beer is gone :(

here are some pics from my last couple of days of my stay in london. i had no time to upload them yet.
i visited waterlow park twice in my last week. a lovely-funny park near highgate cemetery and hampstead heath. also near archway where Gosia's friend, Stavros (sorry for the spelling) lives. if u have never seen the view from inside a tree, here u can have a look:
'Our car':
(Suzukis are made in hungary. thus, suzukis had been advertised for years in hungary as 'Our car'. they are almost as good as 'Our car', isn't it, Poziomka :) )
waterlow park is quite close to hamstead heath, so i walked to the park there. as i already mentioned it somewhere, it is one of the wildest parks in london. however, it provides excellent views on london, too. here's one (Canary Wharf):
we were sitting there. Ptys n me
...

a green spot in the desert. rain forest(?)
'the well and camden baths'
we love camden!

i'm coming london, soon!
